In order to truly understand the question I pose, we must ask ourselves what would take place if we took the power and politics out of politics. What would the result be? Would you be better off as a society? Would you be happier?
The reality is that most people would not be better off. Most people would not be happier. Why? Because politics means getting people angry and divided. When we have a political fight, we end up with the outcome we expected and not the other way around.
We have to realize that politics has its good and bad. The good part of politics is having an outlet where we can air our views. The bad part of politics is when we lose sight of what we were elected for. If we want to take my power and politics out of organizations quiz for me, then we need to think in terms of the end-users of the product or service. If it is something we pay for, then we should get our money back. Otherwise we are wasting our money.
When I say that politics has its good and bad, I am not saying that everyone is inherently good or bad. We all have different personalities, abilities, strengths and weaknesses.
