One of the best ways to put your strategies to the test is to study them in detail. If you cannot commit yourself to studying for two or three months straight, then try and arrange to study at short intervals. For example, if you plan on doing an exam in January, start your studying by building up your study schedule for four or five days in the middle of January. That way you have time to overcome your procrastination and do your exam on time. If you have to, set up a study timetable that is easy for you to follow. Study well but don’t overdo yourself.
Another thing you can do if you find that you have weak areas in your abilities is to practise them. The more you practise, the better you will get at them. This is a matter of self discipline. If you do not feel confident about a particular area of your knowledge, then do not work on it. Do not push yourself beyond your limits, because you might make the mistake of showing an untrained eye.
How can I take my strategies and make them work for me? By taking a class. Many university courses now teach their students how to use their strengths to the best of their advantage. There are some people who could not do music properly but became a professional musician. Such individuals should consider enrolling in a music course as part of their studies.
A mastermind group is another good way to apply your study and learning. When you take my strategies and apply them, you will need help. You can get it from a mentor or a class. Some people can only study and learn by themselves. These people can start a mastermind group, where they discuss their problems and how they could overcome them.
One of my favourite ways of applying my strategies is to spend time with a friend. We can talk about any issue that we are struggling with and resolve that problem at the same time. If you do not have such a friend, you can create one by involving your family members in your plans. You can also do a part time study well program where you spend half of your time studying and half of your time interacting with your peers.
Another thing you can do is take a vacation. If you think you have to take care of all your problems just to study, then maybe it is time you go on a vacation. You will be more relaxed and you will be able to focus on something else.
In summary, if you really want to take my strategies seriously, you should take action. Get some guidance. Find someone who knows how to study and implement his strategies. Join a mastermind group and share your problem. Try to solve as many issues as possible and get feedback. Finally, take some time off to relax and enjoy yourself!
This article is not telling you that you should follow all the strategies that are described here. It is only giving you the motivation to take further actions. You can start small and work your way up. This strategy works for me and has always worked for me. I am keeping it this way because I like to keep things simple.
All you have to do now is to take my strategies and apply them. Learn new skills. You do not have to get grades all the time. Just do what you feel comfortable with and do it well. After some time, you will start getting better grades and that will motivate you even more to keep learning.
Do not let your life be consumed by the constant pressure of exams and class. Start taking my strategies seriously and use them to your advantage. You will find that you will enjoy studying more than ever before and you will never have the urge to take down any notes ever again.
